Event Details

Dig out your tube socks, gym shorts and headbands, its time for a good old fashioned field day.

Announcing the First Annual DSVC Field Day - a chance for Dallas designers, photographers, illustrators, web designers and developers, printers and paper folks to come together again — in the spirit of competition remniscent of the old Chili Cook-Off and Bar Olympics. New shops vs old shops; agencies vs boutiques; web vs print — bring it to the field and prove you're not just a badass at kerning or code, but that you can hop faster and spin your head around a bat better than your colleagues.

This year's events will be brought to you by Brand Hatchery, MasonBaronet, Those 3 Reps, Commerce House, Matchbox and Ussery Printing. Come vote for your favorite event "redesign" as these shops compete for having the best, funnest and most creative take on old school Field Day games.

The award for first place competitor gets to design/assign next years' poster.

COST:
Members = Free if they register ahead of time. $10 each adult if they do not register.
Nonmembers = $10 Registration if they register ahead of time. $20 if they register at Field Day.
All children under 12 are free.

Payments will be taken at registration (for nonmembers and those not registered prior to Field Day).

Dallas Society of Visual Communications

The Dallas Society of Visual Communications (DSVC) is an organization comprised of all professionals involved in marketing communication, including writers, photographers, illustrators, broadcast producers, Internet professionals, and the many vendors and suppliers who support them.

As Dallas/Fort Worth continues to be a center of accomplishment in advertising, design, filmmaking, and numerous other facets of visual communication, the DSVC has grown to become one of the largest independent clubs of its kind. Along the way it has continually sought to elevate the standards of the industry and promote the value that creative professionals add to commerce and the community at-large.
